My eyes were opened this year, and instead of running from the pain, I ran to it, straight into the arms of Jesus. That is really all that He wants, Jesus wants us to fall into His arms of love so he can comfort us. In fact, he died and took on our sins so we can do just that. I found that when I united myself with Jesus, He transformed my sadness and hurt into love and joy for Him who died for me.
“Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy.” John 16:20
Jesus died for you and me so that we can be united forever with Him. Yes, we should solemnly pay our respects for Him who was wounded for our transgressions, but we should also rejoice in His promise of eternal life! Jesus thirsts for us, for our joy, so what better gift to give Him this Easter than our praise, thanksgiving and love.
“…your hearts will rejoice and no one will take that joy from you”
Surrexit Christus vere! Alleluia, Alleluia!
